About the Blend:The base of the blend is South African Rooibos Rooibos (pronounced "roybos") is an Afrikaans name meaning 'red bush'. Rooibos only grows in the Cedarburg Mountains of South Africa where it has been harvested for generations. The Rooibos plant Aspalathus Linearis has green leaves these turn their distinctive mahogany red colour after fermenting under the African sun. Rooibos is rich in naturally occurring nutrients. Studies show it can help relieve; insomnia, nervous tension, mild depression, stomach cramps (including colic), constipation, allergic symptoms inc. hay fever. The minerals in Rooibos inc. Iron, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, magnesium, fluoride, manganese and sodium. Rooibos is rich in anti-toxins particularly flavonoids which help restore damage caused to the body by free radicals. Rooibos is naturally caffeine free and is low in tannin.
