About the Blend:

The base of the blend is South African Rooibos

Rooibos (pronounced "roybos") is an Afrikaans name meaning 'red bush'. Rooibos only grows in the Cedarburg Mountains of South Africa where it has been harvested for generations. The Rooibos plant Aspalathus Linearis has green leaves these turn their distinctive mahogany red colour after fermenting under the African sun.

Rooibos is rich in naturally occurring nutrients. Studies show it can help relieve; insomnia, nervous tension, mild depression, stomach cramps (including colic), constipation, allergic symptoms inc. hay fever.

The minerals in Rooibos inc. Iron, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, magnesium, fluoride, manganese and sodium.

Rooibos is rich in anti-toxins particularly flavonoids which help restore damage caused to the body by free radicals.

Rooibos is naturally caffeine free and is low in tannin. Lemon Love has all this goodness as well as Lemon Grass, vanilla and marigold petals.

Lemon Grass

Lemon grass is said to be the most useful of all the citrus oils...uplifting, strong, deep aroma for motivation good for corporate stress problems and it's a deep cleanser of spirit body and mind. In Lemon Love this is combined with the arousing tastes of vanilla.

Vanilla

Vanilla's rich, warm and intriguing fragrance appeals to both men and women. The vanilla plant is an orchid, a highly evolved flower. Vanilla is a climbing vine bearing flowers of having both male and female organs. It is thought to encourage deep desire to embrace and express the union of sensuality and spirituality. Its aromatic warmth Vanilla can comfort the psyche, arouse desire, and calm anxiety, it's also a nurturance for feelings of tension, anger and frustration.

Marigold Petals In the 12th century just looking at the sunny starburst of bright orange petals was considered enough to lift the spirits and encourage cheerfulness, and by the 17th century Marigold was highly regarded as a remedy for smallpox and measles. In folklore, as a symbol of constancy in love, it appeared as a wedding strewing herb and in wedding bouquets and love potions. It's a perfect complement to the other herbs in Lemon Love and gives the tea a bright appearance as well as the health benefits which include being a cleansing, detoxifying herb with antiseptic and healing properties.
